Hanging Faith is a visual narrative of Chorok Puja, a traditional Hindu religious festival rooted in devotion and endurance. Celebrated in parts of Bengal, the festival involves intense rituals where devotees pierce their bodies, walk on thorns, and swing from high poles — all offered as acts of faith, penance, or thanksgiving.

This project captures the emotional and physical depth of the rituals, focusing on the raw moments where pain becomes prayer. Through vivid imagery of pierced skin, fire-lit processions, and silent expressions of belief, Hanging Faith reflects the powerful connection between body, spirit, and tradition in one of Hinduism’s most striking community festivals.
